With the new year underway and the fall season of sports all but finished, the next era in the sports world are winter and spring sports. For the last month and a half, high school winter sports have taken their toll and players are already making headlines just days into the new year. The most popular athlete thus far is none other than young LaMelo Ball, the youngest of the star basketball Ball brothers. His eldest brother Lonzo is a star guard at UCLA, while his second oldest brother LiaAngelo is currently a senior at nationally ranked #2 Chino Hills High School (Chino Hills, CA) and is famous for his 72 point performance. LaMelo is the youngest of the three and is currently a sophomore at Chino Hills High School, and like his brothers, has taken a toll on the world of high school basketball. As a freshman he and his brothers won the California State Championship and are on track to do so again this season as they are currently on over a 50 game win streak. LaMelo's highlight videos display the young guard breaking defenses, breaking ankles, and shooting threes from nearly any spot on the court. Putting Stephan Curry's three point shot placement to shame, Ball is breaking ceilings of potential and there does not look to be an end in sight. Already UCLA bound, Ball is an unbelievable talent just like his two older brothers, only in time will we see what the young star has in store for the basketball world.
