The Journey is Never Over.

On February 5, 2017, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots made not only Super Bowl, but sports history, by pulling off a 31 point comeback in order to beat the Atlanta Flacons in Super Bowl 51. The game was one for the history books, whether it was Brady winning his fifth Super Bowl, or the Patriots pulling off the biggest comeback in Super Bowl History, the main focus is the grind and journey that all participants in the super bowl have achieved. At one point in their lives, athletes dream of making it to the big stage throughout their athletic journey. Each member of the Falcons and Patriots accomplished what the vast majority of athletes can merely dream of, playing on the biggest athletic stage on Earth. Remember, that each and every one of those players, however, started out as nothing more than youth athletes with a dream and a fantastic work ethic. It is important for all athletes whether you are youth, high school, or even college, that anything can be accomplished with the proper desire and work ethic. Julio Jones, Wide Reciever for the Atlanta Flacons was the number 2 ranked football recruit in the 2008 high school recruiting class. He later went on to play football for college football powerhouse Alabama. His exceptional play at Alabama garnered a lot of interest from NFL teams and in 2011 was selected sixth overall by the very Falcons he plays for now. His hard work from youth all the way to the professional level is what makes him so great today. Yet for most athletes, the journey is not always so glamourous on the outside. New England Patriots wide Receiver Chris Hogan is a prime example of "the other path" that a lot of athletes follow in order to make a career for themselves. Hogan played three years of lacrosse at Penn State and a year of college football at Monmouth University. While not receiving a lot of attention from NFL teams he went undrafted in the 2011 NFL draft. Through years of bouncing from various teams and practice squads, Hogan worked and found a home in New England, and was a huge contributor in the Patriots Super Bowl run and eventual victory. Despite two completely different paths, both athletes spent their lives working nonstop and never giving up on their athletic journey. No matter how far you think you have come, just remember, that the journey is never over.
